To undertake analytic reviews of policies, organisational structures and administration of relevant bodies involved in decision-making in all tertiary educational institutions in order to make them more effective in terms of cost, access, relevance and quality.
Vision
The Commission is to be dynamic, efficient and effective coordinating and regulatory body, acting as a catalyst for sustainable national development and better management of higher education system in Sierra Leone.
Goals
Attainment of stable and crisis-free University System. To work with Sierra Leone Universities to achieve full accreditation status for at least 80% of the academic programmes.
